Use a robot for long pipelines in less than 3 seconds
Handling pipelines that are more than 1,500 mm long and with a small pipe diameter of up to 18 mm, e.g. for braking or air conditioning technology, poses a particular challenge. It gets really demanding when pipes with a length of up to 4,500 mm have to be bent, especially if they have already been provided with flanges or are already shaped.
Our transfluid® engineers have found a solution for this special project. It combines our pipe bending technology with effective robot handling in a fast, highly capable production system.
Load isometric data online
A magazine is used to insert pipes into a collar, separate them and to position them so that they are rotationally symmetrical according to the flange position. One of the two integrated robots then collects the pipe and transfers it to a mobile clamping device that is equipped with a high bracket for long pipes.
This clamping device allows the robot to machine the pipes in parallel on one side or on two sides. This ensures a constant cycle time of less than three seconds per bend. Each robot has seven driven axes and can bend to the right or to the left. A particular strength of the transfluid® pipe bending system is that isometric data can be loaded online directly from a CAD system. Time-consuming robot programming is therefore not required.
