Prototyping: Playing it Safe
The development of new ideas poses a special challenge to pipe forming due to increasingly narrow tolerances as well. To safely put a product into serial production, one must be able to rely on precise analyses and exacting adjustments.
For this, we have implemented an in-house prototyping department in our research area at transfluid®, which is also available to companies without machinery of their own. They can have their pilot production tested precisely and improved here.
Due to the great demand, we have now expanded our research department, where we can effectively and economically test tools and parts with pipe diameters of up to 65 mm. In addition to a CNCcontrolled rolling forming machine of type SRM and two axial forming machines, a CNCcontrolled pipe bending machine and an orbital pipe cutting machine are used here, which makes it possible to map the entire process chain. Our expert team can also visualise, for example, requirements regarding burr formation.
Cost-optimised prototype production
Components and tools are tested, among others, by a tactile and optical measuring system and documented reliably. As the global market leader in the area of incremental pipe forming, we offer special expertise in the inspection and examination of parts made of high-strength materials and light-weight components – even tool-independently depending on the geometry. This will enable your pilot production or prototype production in a particularly cost-optimised manner.
